First Time
A small building that has a large personality-Walkie Talkie is a great coffee shop to go to if you want not just regular drinks-but seasonal drinks as well as delicious pastries!
My friend Kaitlyn and I decided to go and found that this was one of the few coffee shops open on a Sunday. We walked in the place and the first room was a small seating area and we walked on to the second room which was the ordering counter and a larger seating area. The walls bursted with orange illustrations and wording. It was a fun interior.
The menu when we went was Scooby-Doo themed. There was ‘The Daphne’, ‘Bone-Apple Tea’, ‘Let’s Split Up’, and ‘Sc’Ube Snack.’ I couldn’t decide between ‘Let’s Split Up’ which was chocolate banana flavored or ‘Sc’Ube Snack’ which was an adventurous ube flavored coffee (purple yam) with espresso, vanilla, and cinnamon. Because it was different, that’s what I got. Boy, was it great! The ube was so smooth and blended perfectly with the vanilla. I could taste a dash of cinnamon. Kaitlyn got the same drink and thought what I thought: pure deliciousness. I got a ‘Cruffin’ which is a croissant shaped like a muffin coated in sugar. I loved every bite!
The place was popping as for the hour we were there, a line was always formed and there were about 10 people sitting with their coffee.
Overall, it was a truly wonderful coffee shop and I hope to back to taste another themed item!
