On a warm May morning before I headed to court I saw on my Drip Drive list that Angel Falls was near the courthouse. Our bailiff sub-in had raved about it the previous day. I parked a little downwards behind the shop and walked up to it. The sign is different from what I’ve seen. The pic below is not the best lol.
There are 2 entrances-one to the sitting area (it was already 7:30 AM and 10 people were there) and the other to the bakery/shop. The subtle smell of cigarette smoke and fresh baked pastries filled my nose.
They had many specialty flavors such as: Heaven or Las Vegas (blackberry and honey coffee), Caramel Chameleon (caramel and coconut), smoothies, and tea lattes. I decided to go with the Banana Stand (mocha, peanut butter, and banana). I was hesitant because I’ve never had banana in my coffee. Bakery items included maple pecan braid, cinnamon pastry, chocolate filled croissant, and more!
The place was reminiscent of hippie vibes and I liked it. It was chill, laid back, and no one was in a rush. Overall, the Banana Stand (with skim milk might I add) flavors all came together perfectly. I could taste the PB and mocha with a slight and not overpowering taste of banana. My goal is to try and come back and try a pastry as well as another specialty drink!
If this says anything-I’ve asked many adults in my life what their favorite coffee shop in Akron is and this has been the top answer.
