My Experience
- Things Tried: Caramello and Cheese Danish
While at John Bryan State Park we decided last minute we’d like to try coffee at Yellow Springs. The name enticed us as well as the interior when we googled it so we decided that would be the place we’d try.
The bell hit the door as we opened and we went in line. The tiny interior was jam-packed! People everywhere: the group of older women discussing finance, a cool looking dude on his computer, a high school couple that looked like they were on their first date, and some women with their children and a dog. The place was filled with Dean Martin and Soprano’s memorabilia. I put two and two together when I looked at a Dean Martin photo and knew he was nicknamed Dino.
I originally was going to go with a Fudgesicle (frozen drink made with chocolate, vanilla, espresso, and milk) but ended up going with a Caramello (caramel, coffee, cream, and whipped cream). A cheese danish was also obtained.
The danish was dry and disappointing but the Caramello was light and heavenly. I loved it. It was a very unique and different place-very hip. Would I come here again? I’ll try another coffee shop in Yellow Springs first.
