The Judicial Attorney and I decided after a lunch with the court that we needed a coffee-lift to get through the rest of the day. We went around walking throughout Downtown Akron and we ended up going into Sweet Mary’s. We walked in and BAM the smell of sweetness hit and it was overwhelming but hey, it was a bakeshop!
It was amazing the variety they had-but again, it was a bakeshop so I don’t know why I was surprised haha. I wanted to be somewhat adventurous in what I got so I went with a passionfruit macaron and the Judicial Atty got a vegan coconut ube. Don’t worry we also got the goods (coffee). We got our Judicial Asst. a cinnamon bun and it was huge with a thick and I mean THICK slab of icing on top.
Once we got back to the courthouse we had our treats. The macaron was great with a glob of passionfruit filling in the middle. I also tried a piece of that ube bun and even though I was hesitant because I’ve never had ube it was amazing. The bun was really savory and soft. I would get one for myself if I go another time. Overall, amazing!
Whoops! I got sidetracked! The coffee was a regular iced cafe latte. Average but the sweets make up for it.
