Intro
Out of all the Summit County Metro Parks…the Gorge is among the most popular. I am most familiar with Deep Lock Quarry and Goodyear Heights as I ran those for cross country practice.
Hike
On a gorgeous November day, Sophia and I decided to hike Glens Trail in the Gorge Metro Park (at least I believe it was…it may have been the Gorge Trail). The hike was somewhat challenging and caused us to sweat with the hills and rocks but the views were worth it as we hiked along the river.
At the end, we walked down and looked at the dam. The tweets of the birds couldn’t compare to the dam’s roaring sound of thunder. Dramatics aside, the dam was really such a view and went up there with Brandywine Falls. Overall, a wonderful hike.
