My Experience
- Things Tried: S’mores Iced Latte and Cinnamon Roll
As I was at Mary Jane Thurston State Park I decided it was time for a coffee break. I saw on my map that only a few steps across the road from where I was parked was Way Makers. It was open so I excitedly walked on over.
The bell rang when I opened the door and there was absolutely no one inside except the barista sitting and sipping on a smoothie. She looked shocked someone came in lol.
I will say, the decor was interesting. It’s a Christian themed coffee shop that’s centered towards little children with all the play toys and chalk walls. Christian quotes were framed all around. To the right, though, is jungle themed with a big stuffed giraffe which I thought was cool.
I ordered the sugar-free S’mores Iced Latte and the Cinnamon Roll. It kind’ve defeated the purpose of the sugar free haha but I guess it balances out.
She had no emotion whatsoever and it showed in the items. The drink tasted like shit but I put into consideration the sugar free part. The cinnamon roll is a mini roll with a bit of icing. That saved the review from being 2 stars. I hope there’s a better coffee shop around Grand Rapids.
