Where is this located? Portage County near Akron and Mogadore

This is the third State Park I’m reporting and this one is my favorite so far!

The Way There

I went from Quail Hollow to here which took me about 15 minutes. The gates (which had emblems of feet with wings on them) opened up and in I went. Every pavilion was filled and music was jamming. I parked in a farther parking lot near the lake.

The Trail

All the paved trails connect at some point. I decided to walk the Lake Loop (on my ‘AllTrails’ app). The atmosphere was beautiful. The lake was serene and the gentle noise of party music made me feel at ease. This park felt so welcoming. Here, you can see the hangar where the Goodyear blimp is held. It wasn’t open so I couldn’t see the blimp this time.

At different points on my walk I stopped to just take in the view. It was so peaceful and happy here. My trail went somewhat into the Storybook Trail which is a walk for little kids to read a story along this .5 miles trail.

As I walked further, I was so excited to see a bridge crossing some of the lake. I walked slowly soaking in the 360 degree views with a slight breeze causing ripples to move the lily pads on the water.

The end of my 20 minute walk was in the disc golf course where many were playing. Laughter filled the air for the rest of my walk.

Thoughts

I loved it! My favorite State Park thus far! Everybody here seemed happy with every picnic table celebrating something. This park gives off the feeling of serenity and I know if I ever wanted to relax to Wingfoot I will go!
